Many SEOs have heard about the benefits of log files. Analyzing log files is the only accurate way to get a clear picture of how Google is processing your website.

One of the many benefits includes improving your site’s crawlability, a very important part of any SEO strategy. If your site can’t be crawled, it won’t get indexed and subsequently can’t be ranked. In short, it’s a big deal.

And although this is all pretty common knowledge in the SEO world, log file analysis is still, surprisingly, underused and overlooked.
